The terms of reference of the committee give it responsibility for:

  • Monitoring of the Corporate Plan, Best Value Performance Plan, Financial and Asset Management Plan, Communications Strategy, Risk Management Strategy, E-Government Strategy and CPA Improvement Plan together with any other key strategic plans for the authority;
  • Consideration of ombudsman reports;
  • Contribution to and monitoring of the CPA Improvement Plan process and monitoring the service delivery improvements and corporate improvements which should flow from CPA

Meetings of the committee are normally held on Thursdays (not every Thursday), at 7pm. Venues vary so please check this page for agendas as and when they are available. Members of the public are normally welcome to attend.

The committee can question and gather evidence from people inside and outside the council (with their consent) and can appoint sub-committees or consultants to help it in its deliberations.
