How to Pay my Council Tax

Information about the methods of payment for your council tax.

There are a number of convenient ways for you to pay your council tax.

They include:

  • On-line Make a payment through our secure web site  
  • Direct Debit - Please complete the form to the right in the downloads section
  • Telephone Banking - To make a payment by any of the telephone, TV, PC, or other remote banking services offered by banks and building societies please quote our sort code - 40-40-02 account number – 41105000. Remember to include the account reference number on the front of your Council Tax Bill. This information will enable your bank or building society to make payment correctly on your behalf
  • Telephone Payments  - Payment can be made by Debit or Credit Card, using our 24 hour payment system. Just telephone the special number for payment only, 08453010213.
  • By Post - Send a cheque only with your account number on the reverse to Fylde Borough Council Town Hall Lytham St Annes Lancs FY8 1JW
  • Post Office - To pay council tax free of charge at any post office in the country, you can pay with your existing swipe card. If you dont have swipe card you need to take you bill that contains a barcode. This provides all the information we require to process your bill.
