Money Advice

If you are finding it difficult to afford your council tax bills, and you are on a low income, then even if you have up to £16,000 in savings, you may still be entitled to some council tax benefit towards the cost. Ask for an application form from Fylde Direct on 01253 658658.

You may also be entitled to Pension Credit if you are aged over 60 years. They disregard the first £10,000 of any savings and you may still be entitled with more savings, depending on your income. You could also be eligible even if you receive a private pension. You can get free personal advice from the Pension Service and they can help you fill in the application forms.

They hold local advice surgeries at:-

Age Concern, 7 St Georges Road, St Annes Mondays between 1.30 - 2.30 pm.

The surgery is by appointment only. Please contact Age Concern Fylde on 01253 783938 to arrange an appointment.
