Crematorium Closure
The Crematorium will close for major building works following the last service on Wednesday 21st July 2010. These works are expected to take up to 6 weeks. We apologise for the extra distress and inconvenience these works will cause but they are essential for the continued operation of the site. The significant investment will ensure the long term future of the crematorium.
The works involve the installation of 2 new cremators alongside a new ash processing system. A filtration system is also being installed that will reduce the all ready low levels of emissions to a negligible amount. The chapel office and other rooms are being given a makeover to improve the overall appearance of the buildings. The external canopy will be reclad and a footpath installed along the length of the main drive.
Direct to grave burials and access to graves and all memorial areas will be unaffected during the works. The grounds will be open as usual but office hours may be changed at short notice.

Please note that entries only appear after the date of the entry being first displayed and that NO PASSWORD is required to enter this site. The Book of Remembrance is now situated by the entrance gates to the Cemetery on Regent Avenue. As access to this room is from outside the Cemetery the room is now open until 7.45pm each evening throughout the year. Official opening times remain the same, 9.00am Monday to Friday & 10.00am Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays. Vases are supplied for cut flowers to be left in remembrance.

Our grounds are open daily all year round. If you wish to visit, please take note of the schedule below:
- January - 9.00am to 4.30pm
- February & March - 9.00am to 6.00pm
- April to September - 9.00am to 7.30pm
- October & November - 9.00am to 6.00pm
- December - 9.00am to 4.30pm
- Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays grounds open at 10.00am
