Adding a New Page

To add a new page you need to create a place for the page to sit, to do this click the site map option on the left hand side menu bar.

Click ‘add a new menu item to the main menu’ located in the middle of the page in blue.

The caption is the title. For example the homepage caption is Home. This will be visible as button on your site.

The points to option sets where the menu will point to, change this to specific record.

The page will then reload showing a number of options, don’t worry about the long list as we only need to set a few!

Change record type from external page to general page.

The page will re load again.

Leave record as new general page.

Scroll down to the bottom and select save changed

The system will then save you works and take you straight to creating a new page.

Select the edit tab to edit the text of the page, making sure you click save changes at the bottom of the page.

Select the all tasks tab if you want to add images, web links or downloads (PDF, or word / text Documents).

Once you have completed your page, change the status of the page (in the top right) from incomplete to published and click save publishing setting at the bottom right of the page.

Your page will now be published, you can view your new page by clicking the preview button at the top of the page (if you can’t see you page on your site you may need to press F5 (refresh the web page)
