FOODCO is a food cooperative with a difference - all of our produce is given out for free!
This food cooperative is different to most because there is no money involved. We don't pay for any food, nor do we ask for any money from our recipients. Our food is donated from partners all over Fylde, as well as grown by our volunteers at our own growing area behind Ashton Gardens in St Annes and other sites. FOODCO works by obtaining some of this locally grown produce and then delivering it to our recipients, free of charge. Some generous Fylde residents have even donated their own gardens to be used as growing spaces.
We want to allow those on a tight budget, or simply unable to get to the shops, to have access to fresh, locally grown produce. You may already have seen our van on its weekly delivery round - why not have it come to your door, too?

Managed by the YMCA, FOODCO has been working closely with Help Direct, Kirkham Prison, Ormerod Trust, Lancashire Wildlife Trust, Community Payback, BAE Systems, Mythop Road and Moss Hall Lane allotment societies as well as the local faith sector.
