Description
The Data Protection Act 1998 is designed to ensure that all personal information held by the Council is treated with care and consideration. Information about identifiable living people will only be used for fair and lawful purposes. Personal information will be accurate, up-to-date, and relevant. It will be kept only when necessary, and only for as long as it is needed.
Data Protection gives you a right of access to records that the council holds about you. Contact the Data Protection Officer for more information.
The Data Protection Act is regulated by the Information Commissioner.
