Notice of Motion

Fylde Council Town Hall
Information about notices of motion and its reference in the Fylde Constitution.
Under the council procedure rules (Constitution, appendix 3, part A, Rule 11), members of the council can ask for any matter that affects the Fylde area, or which the council has responsibility for, to be discussed at a formal meeting.
If the member invoking the procedure asks for the full council to discuss it, the council has to decide whether to discus it then and there or to refer it to the cabinet or an appropriate committee.
The procedure is called "notice of motion" and is set out in rule 11 of the council procedure rules in the constitution.
Notices of motion, together with the names of the councillors who have requested them, are available in downloads:
List begins 1 May 2005
