The following statement provides Fylde Council’s Five Year Housing Land Supply position
The Council’s latest Housing Land Supply Statement can be found on this page. The latest version, base dated 30 September 2017, reflects the most up to date information available to the Council.
Concerning the Five Year Supply of Housing Land there are two approaches taken to deal with any shortfall in supply, the differences coming from the time period over which the shortfall should be addressed. The National Planning Policy Framework is not prescriptive as to which approach Local Planning Authorities should adopt when calculating their five year housing land supply.
For comparative purposes the Liverpool approach gives the Council the equivalent of 6.3 years of housing land supply and the Sedgefield approach gives the Council the equivalent of 5.1 years of housing land supply.
