Five Year Housing Land Supply

Five Year Housing Land Supply

The following statement provides Fylde  Council’s Five Year Housing Land Supply position

The Council’s latest Five Year Housing Land Supply Statement can be found on this page. The latest version, base dated 31 March 2017, was edited in July 2017 as a result of the ‘Local Plan to 2032’ Examination in Public Hearing Sessions and reflects the most up to date information available to the Council.

Concerning the Five Year Supply of Housing Land there are two approaches taken to deal with any shortfall in supply, the differences coming from the time period over which the shortfall should be addressed. The National Planning Policy Framework is not prescriptive as to which approach Local Planning Authorities should adopt when calculating their five year housing land supply.

For comparative purposes the Sedgefield approach gives the Council the equivalent of 5.1 years of housing land supply and the Liverpool approach gives the Council the equivalent of 6.4 years of housing land supply.
