Fylde Local Plan to 2032 Examination

The Council submitted their Plan to the Planning Inspectorate on 9 December 2016.

This page should be viewed alongside the Submission webpage from which the original submission library may be accessed. The submission library also contains a full set of representations submitted at the Local Plan Publication stage.

Further library items will be added to this Examination page as the Examination progresses and representors and other interested parties are encouraged to view it on a regular basis for new items and latest developments.

Latest News

3 August – the Council have now commenced their consultation on recently produced new information and relevant documents may now be found in a new library section EL7 below. The Council have also updated their Housing Land Availability Schedule and this item may be found via the library entry EL5.015.

17 July – the Inspector has acknowledged the Council’s intended consultation start date of 3 August (and ending 14 September) on a range of items following the recent Stage 2 hearings. These will include, but not exclusively, the following: Economic Forecasts, Objectively Assessed Need, Housing Requirement Figure, Five Year Housing Land Supply and Trajectory, and Settlement Hierarchy. The information provided by the Council in their consultation document will also address the points raised in the Inspector’s recent letter of 3 July.

3 July – following the close of recent Stage 2 hearings the Inspector has written to the Council regarding next steps in the Examination process; see library item EL5.014. This is for the Council’s response only and will be added to this webpage in due course.

29 June - Stage 2 hearings have now concluded and an indication of next steps in the Examination process will shortly be added to this page. A small number of new documents are likely to be added to the webpage library but please note that any further material should only be submitted at the Inspector’s specific invitation.

The Inspector

Mrs Yvonne Wright BSc(Hons) Dip TP MSc DMS MRTPI has been appointed to undertake an independent examination into the soundness of the Plan and to subsequently issue a report with her conclusions.

The Programme Officer

A first series of hearings took place on 28-29 March 2017. Stage 2 of the hearings concluded on 28 June 2017.
