Dog faeces may contain worms which can cause serious eye disorders in children and adults.

You can report issues on-line using the form located on the right hand side of the page.

Regular worming can help reduce the likelihood of worms in faeces.

Faeces is unpleasant to stand in, but also, think about blind people and people with wheelchairs and pushchairs or prams.

  • Fouling should always be cleaned up and disposed of properly.
  • The Council is trying to encourage responsible dog ownership by educational means. However, where a dog owner shows disregard for anti-fouling laws, a fixed penalty notice is likely to be issued. This requires a payment of £50.00 fine within 14 days. Failure to pay the penalty may result in prosecution and a fine of up to £1,000.
