The consultation period was extended from April to May due to the amount of feedback received, however this is now closed. All feedback is currently being considered and is available to view in the download section to the right. However you can always post your thoughts on the local community forum http://www.fyldelife.co.uk/forum.

The Council recently conducted a public consultation exercise seeking responses to the proposals to repeal the existing ‘dog-on-lead’ byelaws and replace them with Dog Control Orders for the following locations:

  1. Lytham St Annes Nature Reserve
  2. Promenade and Promenade Gardens between Fairhaven Road Car Park and North Promenade Car Park, St Annes
  3. Land between South Promenade and the sand dunes from Denford Avenue and Fairhaven Road Car Park, St Annes
  4. Land between North Promenade and the base of the sand dunes on the seaward side from North Promenade Car Park to Bentinck Road, St Annes
  5. Fleetwood Road Playing Fields, Wesham
  6. Larbreck Play Area, Elswick
  7. Memorial Park, Freckleton (excluding the rose gardens)
  8. Staining Rise Play Area, Staining
  9. Roseacre Road Play Area, Elswick
  10. Hope Street Recreation Ground, St Annes
  11. Fairhaven Marine Park, Fairhaven
  12. Lowther Gardens, Lytham
  13. Lytham Green, Lytham
  14. Ashton Gardens, St Annes
  15. Memorial Gardens, Kirkham
  16. Playing Fields near Derby House, Derby Road, Wesham
  17. Meadow Park Play Area, Staining
  18. All adopted highways in the borough

We received many responses, both online and by post. The Council’s Cabinet on the 17th November 2009 will consider the responses later this year. In the meantime you can view them by following the link to the right. All personal information has been removed from the responses.
