Green trees in Lytham Forest
A specialist team within the Community Services Directorate provides the environmental protection functions of the Council. The services provided cover:
- Air pollution control - Including responding to complaints about smoke, odour, grit & dust and licensing industrial air pollution control processes
- Contaminated land - Including responding to complaints about land pollution, enforcing legislation to clean up contaminated land and provide advice and information
- Noise control - Including responding to complaints of noise from neighbours, industrial processes, construction sites, pubs and clubs
- Bathing Waters - Including monitoring of the quality of Bathing water in the Borough.
- Light Pollution - Including responding to complaints about glare from excessively bright or poorly aimed lights.
