Am I entitled to free smoke detectors ?

The best way to save a life is to prevent a fire in the first place, and homes across the County are benefiting from Lancashire Fire and Rescue's Home Fire Safety Checks. The checks involve a crew visiting your home and giving advice, as well as fitting smoke alarms where necessary. Any resident within Lancashire can request one and they are completely free of charge.

To help you prevent a fire from happening in the first place, or to help you escape safely if the worst happens, we recommend that you ask us to carry out a free home fire safety check (external link)
