What can councillors claim as expenses on top of the allowance they get paid?

Expenses are only paid to cover expenses incurred on official business including travel, subsistence and occasional overnight accommodation.  Details of what can be claimed are published.

Elected members at Fylde are entitled to claim for travel and subsistence expenses that they incur whilst carrying out their duties and responsibilities as a local councillor.  It should be noted that at Fylde there are many elected members who choose not to claim any expenses above and beyond their basic and / or special responsibility allowance.

For full details of the current expenses that can be claimed access the link to 'Elected Member Expenses' on this page.
