Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is Adobe Reader and why do I need to have it installed on my machine?

PDF (Portable Document Format) files are a way of being able to display the text and graphics of the documents that we publish, whether or not the user has the original software that the document was created in. PDF files are a screenshot and read-only version of the original document. The Adobe Reader software that you need to view these documents is also free and will not make any major changes to the way your computer is set up.

You can download Adobe Reader. Click on the link and follow the on-screen instructions to install it.

2. How can I make payments online to the council?

You can pay for a number of Fylde's services online.

3. What happens if a page does not appear?

Try re-loading the page in your browser, you can normally do this by pressing F5 or clicking on the 'Refresh' option in your browser. If you get an 'error 404 page' the page might have been removed, had its name changed, is only accessible from our Intranet, or is temporarily unavailable.

4. What do I do if I come across a link that does not seem to work?

Please report the link to webmster@fylde.gov.uk

5. How do I search for the services the council has to offer?

The search box, which appears in the main navigation bar at the top of every page, can be used to display a list of all the departments of the council that deal with the service that you search for.
