Charter for Homeless People

Fylde Borough Council, in partnership with Face To Face YMCA and New Fylde Housing, has developed a new housing advice and homelessness service.

Fylde Borough Council, in partnership with Face To Face YMCA and New Fylde Housing, has developed a new housing advice and homelessness service. Our aim is to provide an efficient quality service to all the people of the borough. This service is located at the Fylde Direct One Stop Shop in St Anne's.

We believe in being open about the services we provide and that is why we have produced this homelessness charter. We also need to hear from you about how you think we can raise our standards even further. Our contact details are listed below should you wish to comment on the service we provide.

We have a Housing Advice Officer who is available to give advice to any member of the public regarding assistance with a housing matter and a Homelessness Officer who will be able to assist anyone who is currently homeless or threatened with becoming homeless.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US

  • A private interview within 3 days, sooner in an emergency
  • A home visit where necessary
  • We will respond to your letters and contacts within 5 working days

  • We will keep you informed at all times on the progress of your application
  • The use of B&B accommodation will be minimised and the length of time spent in temporary accommodation will be as short as possible.
