Fylde Council is working hard to improve the Housing Benefit service it offers its customers. When you make a new claim for housing benefit you will be offered an appointment at a time and date to suit you.

If you need to contact the Benefits service please call 01253 658 658 or email benefits@fylde.gov.uk.

Housing Benefit - If you're on a low income and need financial help to pay all or part of your rent, you may be able to get Housing Benefit.

Council Tax Benefit - If you're on a low income and need financial help to pay all or part of your council tax bill, you may be able to get Council Tax Benefit.

The Council wants everyone who would qualify for Housing Benefit to claim the help they are entitled to receive. Help is available for anyone who needs assistance with making a claim. It is important to claim straight away as any delay may result in the loss of benefit.

Please note, no benefit applications will be receipted after 4.30pm Monday to Thursday or after 4pm on a Friday. Applications can still be submitted after these times however no advisor will be available to check the application. This is because of the length of time it takes to thoroughly check that the application has been completed correctly, collate and scan the supporting evidence and provide the customer with a receipt and list of outstanding proofs.
