Thinking about renting your home?

The economic downturn is having a major impact on the housing market, with many owner occupiers unable to sell. When combined with increasing unemployment, many owners are thinking about renting out their home to help pay the bills. There are many issues to consider including the legal responsibilities of a landlord.

To help support people in this situation, LACORS has developed a new advice leaflet which is available from all local authorities across the country. This simple guide includes a 10-point checklist advising landlords how to avoid the pitfalls of private renting.

You can download a copy of the leaflet to the right of this page
