Policy Consultation Event 6th July 2010
On the 6th July 2010 elected members and stakeholders from the three local authority areas of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre were invited to a policy consultation event at Wyre Civic Centre. A final consultation draft of the Consistent Assessment Policy was provided at the event. There were three workshops, one for each local authority area which focussed in more detail on each authorities annual lettings plan. Documents and feedback from the event will be available later in July.
Allocations Scheme Consultation Event March 2010
On the 18th March 2010 elected members and stakeholders from the three local authority areas of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre were invited to a consultation event at Lowther Pavilion, Lytham. Presentations were heard from Frances Walker from Communities and Local Government and from Dean Lomax the Project Manager. There were three workshops, one for each of the loca authority areas, where the Annual Lettings Plans and Consistent Assessment Policy were discussed. Fylde Coast Choice Based Lettings update January 2010
Following on from the Fylde Coast Choice based lettings information seminars held in September, all three local authorities have agreed in principle to proceed with the scheme. Feedback from all three events can be found on the right of the page. A further consultation event will be held early this year so that we can develop the scheme further and consult on the Consistent Assessment Policy and the new requirement for every local authority to implement an Annual Lettings Plan. Details of the event will be available soon.
Proposed new approach to housing allocations across the Fylde Coast (September 2009)
Information events were held in Fylde, Blackpool and Wyre on 2nd and 3rd September 2009. The Fylde event was held on the 2nd September at St Annes YMCA to inform Stakeholders, Council Members and Housing Association Board Members of a possible new scheme that would allow residents greater flexibility and access to social housing. Presentations were given by Alison Venning from CLG and Simon Beynon from Derbyshire Dales District Council. A local perspective was provided by David Gillett of Fylde BC and Tammy Bradley of New Fylde Housing. All attendees had the opportunity to answer four key questions - the results of which and all other feedback can be downloaded on the right hand side of the page. Also available to the right are copies of all the presentations given on the day.
