I have just read the recycling instructions for Grey and Green Bins, Green Boxes, Blue and White bag collections. I cannot understand why you do not make provision to collect and recycle plastic food trays, yoghurt pots, and fruit punnets as they are all recyclable items. I would have thought that these would go in the green boxes. Also I would like to understand at what point the items are sorted it seems that all items in the green boxes (tins, glass, aerosols and plastic bottles) just get slung in the same lorry.

Emma Duffy from Lytham says...

What a dreadful year for the residents of Melton Grove which saw FBC sell this wonderful town asset for tuppence, rents hiked beyond affordability, two residents in their 90's who have lived in their home for over 30years have to move because of the distress and planning application to take away most of the green space being put in. Only one winner out of this mess and many broken hearted retired residents.......may the New Year bring these people some peace instead of development on their doorsteps.....................

We need to save the Victoria Hotel on Church Road. It is part of the town's history.Join in and save our pub from the developers bulldozer. This is one of the last Victorian buildings in the town and part of our heritage. As a member of the community you can help save this building by writing into the inquiry and letting them know what you think about saving this building from the developers that want to build yet more retirement flats that cant be sold. Or leave the ground like Kwik Save site and The Gables, do we need more brown sites waiting for the market to pick up? Surly renovating and restoring The Vic is prefable for the whole town and its Victorian history.
