The Council employs just over 400 staff with an operating budget of over £34 million and is responsible for a diverse range of services from waste management to tourism and leisure. It is our size that is our strength when it comes to developing people.
Every employee has an in depth knowledge and understanding of their own specialism but they are also a valued member of the ‘One Council One Team’ philosophy and as such they make a real positive difference to the whole Authority. Everyone is encouraged to contribute and make a difference within their service and across the Council the only thing required from you is a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
The Council is structured into four Directorates that work closely together to deliver the vision of a healthy and prosperous community for everyone. Fylde has been widely recognized and commended for our open and inclusive approach to partnership and shared working with other pubic and voluntary sector organisations and for using technology to drive efficient value for money service delivery.
Fylde has 51 elected members who share the same passion for exceptional customer service as the employees and are a part of the ‘One Council One Team’.
