Junior Open Championship 2012

2010 Champion: Kenta Konishi (Japan)

2010 Champion: Kenta Konishi (Japan)

In 2012, the biennial Junior Open Championship will accompany The Open Championship to Lancashire. The world’s best will prepare to mount an assault on the Claret Jug in Lytham St. Annes, while the juniors will get underway at Fairhaven Golf Club.

77 nations were represented at Lundin Golf Club during the 2010 Junior Open, and it is hoped that there will be even more at Fairhaven. For many, it will be a first taste of international golf and of representing one’s country. But for all competitors, regardless of their experience, it will be a week that will remain etched in the memory for many years to come.
