Play Workers
Fylde Borough Council’s Play Workers who work within the community, through schools and youth groups, to deliver play opportunities across Fylde in a variety of settings, have a programme of free activities on offer to keep all children and young people occupied.
Back in 2007 the Council entered a bid from the Big Lottery Fund to enable it to improve play facilities across the borough. It was successful in that bid.
Hayley Melling and Bart Piotrowicz joined the council in June 2008.
What do we do?
For children and young people who like their sport they will be able to play various range of games, the play workers will provide equipment and help organize their game. For those who like to be creative the play workers will have arts and crafts materials.
