Preparation for Election already underway in Fylde
Have you say on polling day.

Ballot - Vote
Returning Officer, Phillip Woodward and election staff are currently sending forms to households in Fylde to compile a new electoral register that will be the basis for next year’s elections.
By completing and returning the form Fylde voters will be making sure they will be able to have their say on what matters to them.
Phillip Woodward, Returning Officer for Fylde said: “It’s simple to register, all you have to do is to respond to the annual canvass form that will be coming through your letter box, if there are no changes to the details pre-printed on the form you can now respond by telephone, internet or by text. Once you register you’ll be able to have your say in helping to choose the people that make the decisions which affect your everyday life.”
“For some people, this may be the first General Election that they get to take part in and may be worried about what to do. You can find out more by calling 01253 658503 or go to www.aboutmyvote.co.uk.”
Karen Quaintmere, Head of Electoral Administration for the Electoral Commission said: “There’s a General Election coming between now and June 2010, If you’re not registered to vote, then you can’t make a decision about who represents you in Westminster. Secure your voice on the issues that matter to you now: it only takes a few minutes.”
