Father Christmas and his helpers at the fun day
The Community and Sports Development Team here at Fylde Borough Council joined in the festivities of Christmas and organised an event aimed at all children and young people in and around the parish of Freckleton.
The event took place on Saturday 12th December at Freckleton C of E primary school.
Included at the event were many free activities aimed at children and young people such as face painting, Christmas crafts, a bouncy castle, circus skills and table football.
Even Father Christmas managed to put in an appearance and handed out some surprises to the children.
Many members of the local community attended the event with their families and had a really enjoyable time taking part in the various activities. It brought the local community together by children, parents and even grand-parents taking part in circus skills and other activities. The children and young people also enjoyed writing letters to Santa and making Christmas cards for their family.

The Community and Sports Development Team are already looking forward to next year’s event and hope it will be just as successful.
