Mrs Hendry's funeral will be held at St Cuthbert's Church on Church Road in Lytham, at 2pm today.
The St George's Cross flag on Lytham Green, near to the Hendry family home, was replaced with the Scottish Saltire as a mark of respect.
Aspokesman for Fylde Council said: "We were contacted by a friend of the Hendry family who suggested it would be a nice tribute if we could fly the flag of St Andrew at half mast.
"The family said they would be happy for this and we were only too."
