The traditional firing of the maroons prior to a two-minute silence to commemorate Armistice Day will take place this year at 11.00 on Wednesday 11 November 2009.

The Mayor of Fylde, Councillor Paul Rigby, will be at the Cenotaph in Ashton Gardens in St Annes, the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Patricia Fieldhouse, will be at the firing on Lytham Green opposite the Assembly Rooms and the Mayor of Kirkham will be represented at the William Segar Hodgson Playing Fields in Kirkham.
