If you want to know what is being done about crime and disorder throughout Fylde you can have your chance to speak with the heads of the agencies involved as they ‘Face the Public.’

The Western Division Police Commander, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Community Protection Officer, Assistant Director of Public Health, North Lancs. Primary Care Trust, the Lancashire Community Safety Partnership, several County Councillors and a representative of the Police Authority will all be on hand as part of the specially organised event. They will be making use of the Lancashire County Council Mobile unit which Morrisons in Kirkham have kindly allowed to be parked on its car park for the meeting on Thursday 19 November between 10am and 3pm.

Community minded residents can make their way to the unit throughout the day and pose their questions about issues in their area. The heads of the agencies will then be able to give the latest information on procedure and policy and make a note of any pressing issues to make sure they get dealt with.

Councillor Cheryl Little, Cabinet Member for Social Wellbeing, said: “The heads of these agencies are often very busy but have taken time out of their day to attend the meeting during the day. The aim is for visitors to the meeting to leave knowing that the key decision makers are aware and are dealing with any issue relating to crime and disorder.”

Although the heads of the organisations will only be in attendance at various times of the day representatives will be available to answer questions, provide information and note particular issues for the duration of the day. Residents from all over Fylde are invited to attend the Lancashire County Council Mobile Unit on Morrisons car Park in Kirkham at any time between 10am and 3pm.
