Fylde lizard

Fylde lizard

Did you know that we have common lizards on the dunes and that spring is the perfect time to look for them as the sun starts to shine?

You can join a local expert on Saturday morning to look for the lizards basking and to learn more about them. The event is being organised by The Lancashire Dunes Project and there will be opportunity to learn more about what is being done to conserve the lizards and other wildlife.

The likelihood of finding the lizards will be greatly reduced in poor weather but we will still head onto the dunes to see what other wildlife we can see. If possible please call to confirm your attendance, all ages are welcome but we would ask if dogs could stay at home to help our chances of finding the lizards.

Meet at 10am, North Beach Car Park near the Coastguard station. For more information please call Anne Heslop on 01253 658537.
