Georges Day Festival - Family Fun Day
Local residents and businesses are proud to celebrate St Georges Day, the town will be awash in red and white. Enjoy the music from the King’s Division Band, sample a traditional Lancashire welcome and have a fun day out with the family. Lytham is a traditional coastal town which truly is a North West Coastal gem, elegant and relaxing, in a class of its own.


Friday 23rd April - 10am Raising the St George’s Flag at Charlies Mast, Lytham Green (opposite the Clifton Arms Hotel)
10.30am Parade starting at Lytham Green with the Band of the King's Division.

The Band of the King’s Division will march through Lytham and will perform a short programme of music on Lytham Piazza (Clifton Street) March to Lytham Green for reception and lunch. The capacity for lunch will be 500 in a Marquee, the King’s Division band will play during lunch. Speakers include our Patron, Lord Shuttleworth, the Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, the Chief Executive Officer of the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, Major General Sir Evelyn Webb-Carter KCVO OBE and Jimmy Armfield CBE. The day’s programme will conclude at 1900hrs. Regional TV, Radio and Newspapers will be attending the Day’s events.

Saturday 24th April - 7.00pm
Black Tie Ball, Lytham Green for 500. The Band of the King’s Division will perform the Beating Retreat ceremony at 7.00pm prior to playing during the meal, which will be followed by entertainment including a Dance Band. The evening’s programme will run from 7pm to 1am (Sold out)

Sunday 25 April - 11am to 6pm - Adults £3, Children (under 16 free)
Family Fun Day – Lytham Green - Celebrate all that makes England a fine country, fun filled action packed providing something for everyone of every age. The programme consists of a mixture of a Craft Fair, Wandering Minstrels and jesters, local produce stalls, bouncy castle, fairground rides, gymanstics, various stalls representing community organisations including Rotary, local Farmer’s Markets and the usual activities associated with a Family Fun Day including the Army Recruiting Team displays and the ABF Paint Ball Range.
