Fylde residents are being urged to get their running shoes on and enter the Fairhaven Lake Sport Relief race.

Runners can choose to do either one mile, three miles or six miles around Fairhaven Lake on Sunday 21 March.

The race is limited to 150 people so organisers are urging people to register as soon as possible.

Fylde Council’s Claire Grant said: “This is good family fun that will get people fit while raising money for good causes.

“We’ve also organised a circus skills workshop to make it a party event. We organise this race every second year and it is always very popular.”

People can enter in advance at: http://www.sportrelief.com/the-mile/find-a-mile
or on the day. Registration is at noon and the race starts at 1pm. Cost is £5 for adults, £2 for children and £12 for family groups.
