A cookery demonstration with a difference is planned at King Edward VII and Queen Mary School next Thursday (25 February).

Deputy mayoress Katie Fieldhouse will cook for Fylde mayor Paul Rigby – and everyone is invited.

Katie, a qualified cordon bleu chef, is keeping her menu secret. But members of the public can learn the secrets of the chefs by turning up to watch – and can then take part in a raffle to take her dishes home.

One treat on the menu will be watching Councillor Rigby learn to cook.

Floral table decorations are being supplied by Lytham Posy Bowl and wines are being supplied by Sainsbury’s in St Annes.

All proceeds go to mayoral charities.

Tickets for ‘Katie Cooks for the Mayor’ cost £6 and include a glass of wine. The event starts at 7pm for 7.30pm.

They can be bought from Anne McVittie on 01253 658505.
