A new forum for housing landlords is to start work early next month.
The Fylde Coast Landlords’ Forum will be run by landlords in Fylde, Blackpool and Wyre as an opportunity to share ideas and knowledge on renting property.
All private-sector landlords are invited to the first meeting at 5.30pm on 4 March in the council chamber at Blackpool Town Hall.
Councillor Cheryl Little, Fylde Council Cabinet member for Social Wellbeing, said: “The principle of working together between councils and housing landlords is well established.
“Requirements upon landlords change all the time. They can play an active and influential role in the housing scene across the Fylde coast and improve knowledge, standards and management skills for the benefit of everyone.”
The first goal of the new forum will be to establish a new accreditation scheme for landlords.
The first meeting will be chaired by Paul Bamber, chairman of Blackpool Landlords’ Forum.
