Family fun days for Fylde

Beach volleyball, circus skills, a fire and rescue smoke tent and inflatable castle will be among the attractions at three family fun days planned for this summer.
All activities will be FREE at the fun days organised by Fylde Council and Fylde Community Safety Partnership.
Events are as follows:
• Noon-4pm, Wednesday 28 July, Trax Wind Sports Centre, off Clifton Drive North, St Annes.
Activities include: high ropes course, inflatable slide, bouncy castle, kite-flying demonstrations and instruction, fire and rescue smoke tent, DJ-ing and MC-ing, beach rugby, beach volleyball, beach football, dune discovery walk, sandcastle competition, circus skills, fface painting, jewellery making, body art, arts and crafts and more.
• Noon-4pm, Wednesday 4 August, Rawstrone Sports Centre, Bush Lane, Freckleton.
Activities include: inflatable obstacle course, inflatable slide, bouncy castle, DJ-ing and MC-ing, football, cricket, multi sports, table football, circus skills, face painting, jewellery making, body art, arts and crafts and more.
• Noon-4pm, Wednesday 11 August, Kirkham Memorial Gardens, Barnfield, Kirkham. Activities include: inflatable obstacle course, inflatable slide, bouncy castle, DJ-ing and MC-ing, sports, table football, circus skills, fire and rescue smoke tent, face painting, jewellery making, body art, arts and crafts and more.
Community development officer Wendy Voo said: “These are three major events for Fylde families and we believe they provide something for everyone.
“All parents are familiar with having bored children hanging around the house. Finding something for them to do can be expensive, but these fun days are free. There is one for each of the main population centres in Fylde – but there’s nothing to stop families attending them all!”
A wealth of other summer activities are planned for Fylde at venues including Elswick sports field; park View, Lytham; Ashton gardens, St Annes; Bridges playing fields, Warton; Wesham sports field.
The YMCA holds a regular play scheme and sports academy and, starting on27 July, will hold a performing arts workshop at the YMCA on St Albans Road, St Annes,
August and September will also see a number of cricket coaching sessions held across Fylde.
