Fridge magnets detailing services available for families are being distributed across Fylde.

A series of laminated cards are attached to the magnets and each card contains contact details for services relating to play, health, childcare, education and even legal matters.

Councillor Karen Buckley, chair of Fylde Children’s Trust which is distributing the magnets, said: “There are a lot of services designed to help parents and this project is a simple way to spread their message.

“Too often, things like information leaflets get lost or even thrown away unread. People are always going to and from the fridge so they can’t fail to see what services are available.”

The aim is to ensure that all Fylde homes with children receive the magnets which are being distributed through schools and children’s centres. Any parent who has not received a fridge magnet can get one from any children’s centre.
