More than £4,300 was raised for charities at last month’s Lytham proms and Battle of Britain weekend.

The area’s Spitfire Appeal, which aims to build a permanent memorial to the Lytham St Annes-sponsored Spitfire, raised a total of £1,859.

Troop Aid raised £394, the RAF Wings Appeal raised £750, the Soldiers’ Charity raised £219, mayoral charities received £800 while Help for Heroes received £300.
