Fylde Council has a new member after Thursday’s by-election in Kilnhouse ward.

The St Annes seat was won by Liberal Democrat Karen Henshaw with a majority of 70 votes.

Result:

Karen Henshaw (Liberal Democrat) 529;

Matthew Lardner (Conservative) 459;

Peter Stephenson (Labour) 165;

Ian Roberts (Green) 29.

The turnout was 34 per cent.
