Keep beaches tidy

Volunteers are needed for a new Coastal Care group that aims to keep the St Annes beach and dunes free of litter.

The group, established by Keep Britain Tidy and backed by Fylde Council, meets at St Annes Pier at 10am every Tuesday morning.

Fifteen members are already signed up to volunteer for the two-hour sessions.

Their work will supplement the activities of the Friends of the Estuary and the Fairhaven Coastal Care group.

All equipment is provided.

Caddi says...

What a shame that this is when many of us are at work. I suppose I will have to continue to take my bin bag along by myself!
