Help Fylde Parks win a People’s Choice Award by voting for your favourite.

This year an army of experts awarded a record breaking 1,797 Green Flag Awards to the UK’s very best parks and green spaces. The scheme is now asking the public to vote for their favourites.

Fylde has 6 Green Flag Award winning parks; Ashton Gardens, Promenade Gardens, Fairhaven Lake, Lowther Gardens,Lytham Memorial Gardens and Elswick Village Hall and Garden. You can find the list of the Fylde award-winning parks at www.greenflagaward.org. To vote for your favourite, simply find it on the map and click the vote button. Once you’ve voted, why not encourage others to get involved too?

Voting closes on 30 September, with the top 10 winning sites being announced on 11 October.

Sue Fazackerley, Leader of Fylde Council said, “At Fylde we are all immensely  proud of our beautifully kept parks and gardens which have such a beneficial effect on those of us lucky enough to live here and are one of the reasons why we attract so many visitors. I would urge residents to visit the Green Flag web site and to vote for their favourite Fylde park; it won’t be easy as they are all worthy of an award! The People’s Choice Award recognises the importance of our parks and gardens to Fylde life and acknowledges the work of all those who keep them in such a wonderful condition”.

Paul Todd, International Green Flag Award Manager said, “Following the huge success of LoveParks Week, the People’s Choice Award is another chance to show how much your favourite park means to you. Make your voice heard and vote now.”
