This is a statutory service that regulates the built environment through the Building Regulation's, securing the health, safety and welfare of persons in or about buildings. This embraces the conservation of fuel, power and water, and the welfare of disabled people. The section also controls demolition, deals with dangerous structures and ruinous and dilapidated buildings.
