How to Pay my Council Tax

Payment by 12 monthly instalments

You may now choose to pay your Council Tax in 12 monthly instalments instead of 10. If you wish to do this you must contact the Council on 01253 658658 (after you have received your bill) to request us to make the amendments.

Ways to Pay

Internet You can pay securely online right now using our online payment system. You will need to quote your Council Tax / Business Rates account number or Sundry Invoice number.

*Home Banking Via Home Banking to Sort Code: 40-40-02 Account: 41105000.
(internet) You will need to quote the Council Tax/Business Rates number.

24hr Hour Using Debit Card or Switch Card on a 24hr ( non operator ) telephone service. Just follow the simple instructions. Make sure you have your Council Tax / Business Rates account number or Sundry Invoice number to hand when you use this service. You will need to quote the account number and the amount being paid. Telephone Talk to one of our Customer Service Advisors on 01253 658658 who can take the payment by Debit Card or Switch/Maestro Card.
Open 8.30 – 5.00p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday; 9.00-5.00pm on Wednesday and 8.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m. on Friday. Excludes public holidays.

It is free to pay your Council Tax, if you use the barcode on your Council Tax Bill, at the Post Office.
Payment may be made by debit card, cash, cheque or saving stamps and/or a combination of all of these.

The Council’s account number is 613 1239. The Council Tax /Business Rates account number must be quoted along with a name and address.
There may be charges if you use an alternative method of payment at the Post Office.

• Payments made via the Post Office and Home Banking are only deemed paid when the money is credited to Fylde Borough Council’s bank account.
